New for 2017, celebrate Craft Beer in America - and there’s no better place to do that than in the regions where the craft brew industry has really taken off! Tours are led by Beer Aficionado Tour Guides, knowledgeable not only in the destination, but in the history, diversity, flavours and proliferation of the craft beer industry in each region. Colorado is well-known for its regional cuisine and great breweries, couple this with stunning landscapes and unique history makes this tour a great introduction to the American Rockies.

Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Denver
Your holiday to Denver begins with scheduled flights from London or Manchester. On arrival, transfer independently to your downtown hotel, Why not take the A Line Commuter Rail which will get you into the city centre within 40 minutes. This evening, after checking into our Denver hotel, mingle with other group members at a meet and greet reception hosted by our guide, a beer aficionado and destination specialist. We’ll be given an introduction to this 12-day exploration of breathtaking National Parks, regional culture, history, and—of course—fresh, local craft beer!
Overnights (2): Denver - Magnolia Hotel 

Day 2 - Denver
This morning we’ll take a tour through Denver. Catch stunning views of the Rocky Mountains in between stops at historic and cultural locations, emerging neighborhoods, and hidden gems of the Mile-High city. In the afternoon visit the brewery district of River North (known as RiNo). We’ll tour some of the 45 breweries located in this capital city, each producing beer with very distinct aroma, body and finish.
OPTIONAL: Enjoy a dinner comprised of regional cuisine paired with specially selected brews. Denver is known for its creative spin on beef and game dishes, and diners can expect the unexpected.  

Day 3 - Denver - Estes Park - Boulder (108 miles)
In the morning we’ll set out for Estes Park, at the eastern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. With over 100 mountains measuring over 11,000 feet, we’ll travel trails viewing majestic peaks in every direction—and see wildlife roaming the valleys below. After the tour we’ll travel to Boulder. Boulder is one of three points that make up the Denver Beer Triangle (along with Denver and Fort Collins). The city is home to the University of Colorado and is frequently listed at the top of health and well-being rankings. We’ll visit a local brewery where classic standards such as lagers, porters, and ales are made year-round. Seasonal beers round out the selection.
Overnights (1): Boulder - Best Western Plus Boulder Inn 
OPTIONAL: Tonights dinnor will celebrate Boulder’s craft brew and culinary reputation of unique and bold flavors.

Day 4 - Boulder - Glenwood Springs (168 miles)
This morning’s scenic route passes jagged cliffs and takes us into Glenwood Springs, a mecca for mineral hot springs enthusiasts.
Overnight (1): Glenwood Springs - Hotel Colorado 
OPTIONAL: Take a relaxing soak in the thermal mineral waters at Iron Mountain Hot Springs’ 16 small, naturally-formed pools. OPTIONAL: Enjoy a custom-designed dinner menu of fresh fish caught in local rivers combined with the perfect local brews.

Day 5 - Glenwood Springs—Grand Junction— Telluride (213miles)
Today we travel through the Colorado National Monument. Here, towering monoliths exist within a vast plateau and canyon panorama. It is one of the great landscapes of the American West. There’ll be time in the western Colorado town of Grand Junction before traveling along byways with more spectacular scenery to the mountain village of Telluride. Upon arrival, we’ll quench our thirst with the smooth-tasting flavors of beer from one of the highest microbreweries in the world.
Overnight (2): Telluride - The Victorian Inn - June 10th Departure will stay at the Peaks Resort & Spa in Telluride
OPTIONAL: This evening enjoy a dinner consisting of farm-to-table ingredients paired with Telluride’s prized local beers.

Day 6 - Telluride 
Today, explore on your own or join the morning optional and included afternoon hike.
MORNING OPTIONAL: Get an up close view of the high country scenery in an exciting half day Jeep tour. This afternoon we’ll head into the San Juan Mountains on foot for a half-day guided hike. The evening is free to enjoy the atmosphere of this historic Victorian mining town.

Day 7 - Telluride—Silverton—Durango (121miles)
We’ll travel along the Million Dollar Highway today between Ouray, a charming town surrounded by steep mountains, and Silverton, an old silver mining town. Much of Silverton is considered a National Historic Landmark and is the depot town of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. This 3 ft. narrow gauge heritage railroad has been hauling freight and passengers in continuous operation since 1882. OPTIONAL: Ride the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad along the Animas River, through wilderness inaccessible by any road, for a steam-powered arrival into Durango.Those who do not choose the optional will drive to Durango on the coach.
Overnight (2): Durango - Historic Strater Hotel  
OPTIONAL: Durango breweries will be featured in this evening’s pairing dinner, alongside cuisine influenced by a mixture of Old West history and contemporary flair.

Day 8 - Durango—Mesa Verde—Durango (112miles)
Today we’re off to Mesa Verde National Park, the largest archeological preserve in the US. Here we’ll get a look at cave dwellings inhabited by groups of nomadic American Indians as early as 7500 BC. Upon our return to Durango we’ll visit a couple of the oldest craft breweries in the state. Water born high in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado makes these hand-crafted brews taste so good. The evening is free to explore Durango’s local culture and cuisine.

Day 9 - Durango—Great Sand Dunes Nat’l Park— Salida (258miles)
We’ll travel to Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve where we’ll find the tallest sand dunes in North America. We’ll spend the night in Salida, a quaint, western style town with a creative arts scene and a selection of breweries, distilleries, and wineries. Explore Salida’s restaurant dining options on own this evening.
Overnight (1): Salida - Comfort Inn Salida 

Day 10 - Salida—Colorado Springs (112miles)
Depart for Colorado Springs, stopping at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. Hanging high above Colorado’s wild Arkansas River, the Royal Gorge Bridge is America’s highest suspension bridge and a legendary feat of engineering renowned the world over. Upon arrival in Colorado Springs, we’ll savor brews from some of the city’s more than 25 tap rooms.
Overnight (2): Colorado Springs - Garden of the Gods Club & Resort
OPTIONAL: Tonight’s dinner and pairings will feature Colorado Springs’ internationally diverse cuisine and big tastes from small, local beer companies.

Day 11 - Colorado Srinpgs
We begin the day by touring the US Air Force Academy. Then, take in the natural wonders of the Garden of the Gods, a registered National Natural Landmark with dramatic views and 300' towering sandstone rock formations. End the day in quaint Manitou Springs and taste the nuances of the locally produced beer at one of its tap rooms. OR OPTIONAL: We’ll transfer to the historic mining town of Cripple Creek where we’ll saddle up at the Old Stage Riding Stables to view the majesty of the Colorado mountains on horseback. Set out on riding trails that provide views of deep forests and panoramic mountain overlooks of Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. The knowledgeable guide leads the group over trails of western beauty where we may see deer and fox or, on the ranch itself, elk and bison, as they graze in scenic splendor. OPTIONAL: Final night pairing dinner. A selection of stylings and flavors matched to your choice of Colorado’s fresh, local fare.

Day 12 - Colorado Springs -Denver - UK  (70miles)
After a late morning check-out the group will transfer to Denver International Airport for departure and to check in for your flight home.
