Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - New York
Your holiday to the East coast begins with a scheduled flight to New York from London or Manchester ​​​​, on arrival in New York City, known as the Big Apple. Transfer independently to your hotel.

Day 2 - New York
A full day is yours to explore this exciting city filled with people, famous sights, and skyscrapers. See the Statue of Liberty, Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the United Nations, and much more.

Day 3 - New York - Washington DC (240 miles)
Collect your hire car this morning and start your drive southwest to Philadelphia, home of Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Ben Franklin. Your destination this evening is the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

Day 4 - Washington DC
The broad streets of America’s seat of government enhance the dramatic effect of Washington’s memorable monuments: the Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and the White House. At the National Mall, the Smithsonian’s complex of museums is a repository for the nation’s historic treasures.

Day 5 - Washington DC - Shenandoah National Park (86 miles)
Explore Virginia’s colonial and Civil War heritage. Visit the site of the strategic Battle of Bull Run, where the historical influence of America’s founders is reflected in its institutions and architecture. Pass by Thomas Jefferson’s home in Monticello before ascending to the highlands of Shenandoah National Park for the night.

Day 6 - Shenandoah National Park - Blue Ridge Parkway - Roanoke (147 miles)
Today, follow the crest of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, which in the summer have a distinctly bluish cast. Then continue along the lush, green Shenandoah Valley en route to your destination tonight, Roanoke, Virginia.

Day 7 - Roanoake - Gret Smoky Mountains - Cherokee (250 miles)
Spend a full day enjoying the mountain scenery while driving south along the spine of the Blue Ridge Mountains into the state of North Carolina. In the afternoon, visit the Smoky Mountains, famous for the distinctive blue haze which cloaks them. Pass through the ancestral homeland of the Cherokee Indians.
Overnight (1): Cherokee

Day 8 - Cherokee - Savannah (108 miles)
 Leave the Smoky Mountains behind and drive through the heart of the low country into Beaufort, SC. Beaufort is known for its historic downtown, cultural food and Antebellum architecture. With “Georgia on your mind”, journey further down the coast to Savannah. Savannah was the colonial capital of the province of Georgia and later the first state capital of Georgia. Savannah is the “Hollywood of the South” being home to such films as the Oscar winning movie Forrest Gump, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and The Notebook.

Day 9 - Savannah - Charleston (264 miles)
The destination today is historic Charleston, a city built for walking. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic district and note its unsurpassed Antebellum architecture. It was in Charleston that early shots of the Civil War were fired, starting a four-year battle that ended with the defeat of the Confederate States and the reemergence of the United States as one nation.

Day 10 - Charleston - Myrtle Beach (94 miles)
Move up the Atlantic coast to Myrtle Beach, Situated on the center of a large and continuous stretch of beach knows as the “Grand Strand, in northeastern South Carolina, Myrtle Beach is one of the major centers of tourism in the U.S.because of the city’s warm subtropical climate and extensive beaches.

Day 11 - Myrtle Beach - North Carolina Outer Banks (455 miles)
Start your day in Myrtle Beach and head North to the North Carolina Outer Banks area which is a 200 mile stringof narrow barrier islands and covers almost the whole coast of the state of North Carolina. This treacherous coastline and large number of shipwrecks have given these seas the nickname “Graveyard of the Atlantic”. If you are up for an adventure, stop by the Wright Brother’s hometown in Kill Devil Hills near the seafront town of Kitty Hawk. Further down the peninsula you may want to test your “sealegs”, board the ferry at Cape Hatteras which will take you to Cedar Island via Ocracoke Island. Ocracoke Island is known for being the resting place of the infamous pirate “Blackbeard”. (optional)

Day 12 - Outer Banks - Virginia Beach (125 miles)
Leave “the outer banks behind and continue your journey towards beautiful Virginia Beach. . The Virginia state slogan is “Virginia is for Lovers” and there is no place better to end your day than Virginia Beach, where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 13 - Virginia Beach - Philadelphia (125 miles)
Today head to the city of Brotherlt love – Philadelphia. On your way, pass through Richmond, VA which was the capitol of the Confederacy during the Civil War. May we suggest you take a look at the beautiful Virginia Capitol building which was designed by Thomas Jefferson or perhaps a visit to the Botanical Gardens which covers 80 acres and features a glass conservatory, rose garden and a healing garden.
Overnight (2): Philadelphia 

Day 14 - Philadelphia
A full day in the birthplace of America, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. Here you will see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. This evening make time for an optional dinner at one of the cities most famous venues for the local delicacy of Philly Cheese Steak.

Day 15 - Philadelphia - New York City - UK (125 miles)
This morning return to New York City in time for your return flight. Return your hire car to the airport and check in for your flight home.
