Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Washington DC
Your holiday to the US East coast begins with a scheduled flight with Virgin Atlantic from London Heathrow. - Please contact us for details if you would prefer to fly from Manchester or any other UK domestic airport. On arrival you will be transferred by Shuttle to your downtown hotel. On arrival your travel documents will be provided by the hotel. Washington DC is the capital of the United States and home to many patriotic symbols including the White House, Capitol Building and the Washington Monument. This evening why not take a relaxing walk along the National Mall to view some of the buildings followed by dinner in one of the many restaurants in the Georgetown area of the city.

Day 2 - Washington DC 
This morning take a hop on/hop off city tour of Washington. The tour includes such sites as Capitol Hill, Library of Congress, Washingon Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, the White House and the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. This afternoon, why not visit one of the many museums owned by the Smithsonian Institute, like the Museum of Natural History or the Air and Space Museum ideally located on the National Mall.

Hop on - Hop off. Tour at your own pace for the entire day!
As you tour the nations capital you will have the opportunity to get off the trolley and visit memorials, museums, and historical points of interest; as well as opportunities for shopping and dining throughout the city. When you're ready, just re-board and it's on with the tour. Trolleys will come by each stop every 30 minutes. Your Boarding Pass is your ticket to rejoin the tour at any designated stop.

Day 3 - Washington DC - Philadelphia
This morning, transfer to Union Station for the train to Philadelphia, Upon arrival, a greeter will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.  Philadelphia is home to many National historical sites that relate to the founding of the United States as well as a number of major museums. Why not try a Phily Cheesesteak at Pats King of Steaks or Geno's on 9th Avenue and Passyunk for a real Philadelphian delicacy. Or visit The Museum of the American Revolution which opens its doors this spring in Philadelphia's Historic District, just steps from Independence Hall and in the heart of a city that served as the headquarters for the Revolution. Through immersive exhibitions and priceless artifacts, the museum traces the evolution of the colonies from the earliest days of unrest through a legendary war and the improbable victory that led to a new nation. Highlights include General Washington’s original headquarters tent, Revolutionary War weapons, centuries-old military documents and hundreds of other authentic objects.

Day 4 - Philadelphia 
Your hop-on/hop-off city tour stops at such sites as the Liberty Bell Museum and Independence Hall, the Franklin Museum and More. If you are feeling fit, run up the stairs to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and reenact the scene from the film, Rocky ! 

Step aboard one of our signature burgundy and green Victorian-style "open-air" trolleys. Day 5 - Philadelphia - New York City 
Morning transfer to 30th St Station for the train to New York City, You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. The hotel is centrally located in Midtown Manhattan and close to many of the cities celebrated areas such as Times Square, Broadway and the Rockerfeller Centre. 
Overnights (2): New York City - Sheraton Times Square or similiar 

Day 6 - New York City 
Board New Yorks hop-on/hop-off experience at Times Square. Stops include Greenwich Village, Empire State Building, Soho, The World Trade Centre Site, Lincoln Centre, Metropolitan Museum, Central Park and Fifth Avenue. This afternoon, why not take the ferry to Ellis Island and visit the Statue of Liberty or take a boat cruise around Manhattan.

Day 7 - New York City - Boston 
Transfer to Penn Station to board the Amtrak Service to Boston, on arrival at South Station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The centrally located hotel allows you to walk to most sections of "America's Walking City" - whether its the bustling waterfront historic city centre or elegant Back Bay. Boston is one of the most historic cities in the United States. Older than the United States itself by more than a century and you can discover more about its history by following the Freedom Trail a 2.5-mile, red-lined route that leads you to 16 historically significant sites — each one an authentic treasure. Explore museums and meetinghouses, churches, and burying grounds. This evening if the schedule allows, why not take in a baseball game at Fenway Park and view the holders of 8 World Series - the Boston Red Sox.

Day 8 - Boston 

Boston Hop-on/Hop-off tour features sites along the Freedom Trail, Back Bay and Beacon Hill including stops for the USS Constitution, a frigate built in the 18th century which took part in the wars with Britain in the 1800's , Faneuil Hall and Copley Square.
