Day 1 - UK - Nashville 

Your holiday to the Deep South begins with scheduled flights with United Airlines from London Heathrow or Manchester. Upon arrival collect your hire car and make your way to your hotel. After checking in, why not visit the Bluebird Café which could arguably be the most famous songwriter club in the country, it helped launch the careers of superstars such as Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Kings of Leon and countless others. If you visit for the nightly songwriter show you'll see some of the best up and coming artists, or, if you’re lucky, a few famous ones too.

Overnights (2): Nashville - Millennium Maxwell Hotel

Day 2 - Nashville 

Visit famous sites in Nashville including the Ryman Auditorium and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Historic RCA Studio B and the Grand Old Opry. 

Day 3 - Nashville - Memphis (212 miles)

Head West today to the Home of the King - Elvis Presley. Visit the Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum to learn about the history of Memphis Music before spending this evening in one of the many bars and restaurants on Beale Street.

Day 4 - Memphis - Florence/Muscle Shoals (152 miles)

This morning, spend some time at Graceland and view the home of Elvis, you will see the outfits, records, cars and the resting place of one of the most iconic legends of Rock and Roll. After lunch, make your way to the Muscle Shoals Region in Alabama.

Day 5 - Muscle Shoals

Visit FAME Studios Started in the 1950s by Rick Hall, the studio is still actively operating. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on December 15, 1997, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. This evening, experience Muscle Shoals nightlife in one of the area's clubs.

Day 6 - Muscle Shoals - Tuscumbia - Mobile (371 miles)

Before departing the area, visit the Helen Keller Birthplace. En route stop at the city of Tuscaloosa, the home of the University of Alabama and known for one of the best barbeque restaurants in the South - Dreamland - try their hickory smoked ribs for lunch. Continue South to Mobile and spend the evening in the historic downtown area.

Overnights (2): Mobile – Battle House Renaissance Hotel 

Day 7 – Mobile

Explore the battlegrounds of Forts Morgan, Gaines and Conde, before touring the USS Alabama, a World War II battleship. Or follow the Black History Trail complete with an underground Railroad Bike Tour. 

Day 8 - Mobile - New Orleans (144 miles)

Follow the Gulf Coast past Biloxi and travel between Lake's Borgne and Pontchartrain to arrive in the Louisiana city of New Orleans. Take a stroll through the cities French Quarter this afternoon and take lunch in the one of the many Cajun restaurants or maybe take a paddle wheeler for a lively Jazz Cruise with dinner this evening.

Day 9 - New Orleans 

With a spooky history and unique, ornate tombs, Lafayette Cemetery is a popular location for movies shot in New Orleans. Or choose an exciting airboat tour on the Louisiana Swamps to view alligators, pelicans and osprey and then this evening take a pick of live music from smooth blues to funky jazz. 

Day 10 - New Orleans - UK 

Your morning is at leisure before dropping your hire car off at New Orleans Airport and checking in for your flights home.
