Itinerary

Day 1 - UK to Salt Lake City 
Your holiday to the Utah National Parks begins with a scheduled flight with Delta Airlines from London Heathrow to Salt Lake City, Between the Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City is a vibrant city with an easy-going nature. The story of the Mormon Church is told in various venues in Temple Square. City Creek Center offers dining, entertainment and shopping.
Overnights (1): Salt Lake City 

Day 2 - Salt Lake City - Arches & Canyonlands National Parks (234 miles) 
Today’s drive takes you to the white and red sandstone pinnacles and buttes of the Colorado River Plateau. Arrive at Arches by early afternoon. Spend the afternoon exploring Arches’ scenic drive
and trails leading to windowed arches, towering spires and scenic overlooks. As an alternative, start at Canyonlands Island-In-The-Sky and Dead Horse State Park area for an afternoon scenic drive and trails looping back to Arches for sunset. Stay two nights in Moab (5 miles south of Arches).

Day 3 - Arches & Canyonlands National Park
For your second day in Arches and Canyonlands ask about booking optional sightseeing tours. For the active and adventurous we recommend a guided morning hike through Arches’ Fiery Furnace (a
twisting labyrinth of brilliant red rock fissures) that requires advanced reservations. Add an afternoon narrated jet boat excursion or lunch and afternoon rafting trip on the Colorado River for a truly
memorable day!

Day 4 - Moab - (Canyonlands Needles District) - Monument Valley (215 miles) 
Visit Canyonlands’ Needles District named for its colorful sandstone spires. After visiting the Needles, enter into Utah’s Canyon Country, a remote and remarkable land with sites bearing witness to an ancient pueblo people and amazing narrow canyons. Late afternoon arrive in Monument Valley Area.
Overnight (1): Monument Valley 

Day 5 - Monument Valley - (Goosenecks Natural Ridges) - Capitol Reef National Park (213 miles) 
Monument Valley is a Navajo sacred place and tribal park. For a fee, you can drive on dirt roads to a few prominent viewpoints. If you pre-book an optional sunrise or morning jeep tour, you visit special
places with Navajo guides. This afternoon it’s on to Natural Bridges National Monument to see three of the world’s largest sandstone natural bridges. Thecolorful formations of Capitol Reef come into view in the late afternoon. Arrive in Torrey for the night.
Overnight (1): Capitol Reef/Torrey 

Day 6 - Capitol Reed - (Grand Staircase/Kodachrome Basin) - Bryce (198 miles)
This morning explore Capitol Reef known to the Navajo as the Land of the Sleeping Rainbow. Capitol Reef’s 25-mile Scenic Drive leads to whimsical formations and mysterious petroglyphs. A late afternoon drive through the Grand Staircase of the Escalante and side trip to for a splash of more color at Kodachrome Basin brings you to Bryce Canyon for the next two nights. 
Overnights (2): Bryce Canyon 

Day 7 - Bryce Canyon National Park 
Today explore Bryce from sunrise to sunset. Bryce is a series of natural amphitheaters sunk into pink cliffs filled with delicate rock “hoodoos”. Drive the 38-mile Scenic Loop in the hours around sunrise or sunset and watch these strange formations come alive. Hiking among the hoodoos is a favorite activity with a variety of trails from easy to strenuous.

Day 8 - Bryce Canyon - Zion National Park (85 miles)
Entering from the east and exiting Mt. Carmel Tunnel a spectacular set of steep switchbacks reveals Zion’s awesome beauty. From mid-May to mid-November Zion Canyon is closed to cars. Free shuttles transport visitors to 9 stops including Zion Lodge and trailheads for Weeping Rock, Gateway to the Narrows and Emerald Pools. Tonight stay in Zion National Park area.
Overnight (1): Zion National Park/Springdale

Day 9 - Zion - (Kolob Canyons) - Cedar City (103 miles)
Continue your exploration of Zion National Park in the lesser visited Kolob Canyons section. We recommend Timber Creek Overlook Trail (1 hour) and Taylor Creek
Trail (4 hours). Tonight enjoy the hospitality of historic Cedar City.
Overnight (1): Cedar City 

Day 10 - Cedar City - Park City (252 miles)
Today’s drive sticks to the Interstate for an easy half day journey to Park City. Located less than 40 minutes from SLC International Airport, Park City was the site
for the 2002 Winter Olympics and is a year-round mountain resort.

Day 11 - Park City - Salt Lake City - UK
Time for some last minute sightseeing and souvenir hunting before returning your car to Salt Lake City Airport and checking in for your flight home,
