Day 01 - UK - Chicago

Your holiday to the Great Lakes region begins with a scheduled flight with United Airlines from London Heathrow. Arrive in Chicago and transfer independently to your hotel. Your afternoon and evening is at leisure. Why not take a refreshing stroll along the lakefront?

Day 02 - Chicago

Visit the second tallest building in North America, Willis Tower. View incredible panoramas from 360 CHICAGO. After a cheesy lunch at one of Chicago's famous pizzerias. Take a visit to one of Chicago's many museums including the Field Museum, one of the largest natural history museums in the world. This evening if schedules allow, why not take in a baseball game at the 2016 World Series winners, Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Day 03 - Chicago - Milwaukee (90 miles)

Collect your hire car this morning and head north along Lake Michigan to Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest city. This friendly Midwestern city is a combination of cherished tradition and modern attitude. Experience the city's brewing heritage with a brewery tour, or explore one-of-a-kind attractions like the Milwaukee Art Museum, Miller Park and the world's only Harley Davidson Museum.

Day 04 - Milwaukee - Green Bay (120 miles)

Today, it’s on to Green Bay, Wisconsin's oldest community. With Lake Michigan serving as the city's north border. Railway buffs will be in seventh heaven when visiting the National Railroad Museum, one of the oldest and largest museums dedicated to the country’s rich railroad heritage.

Day 05 - Green Bay - Hiawatha National Forest - St Ignace (291 miles)

Offering stunning views of the shoreline, today's scenic drive along the North-western coast of Lake Michigan takes you through Hiawatha National Forest and Manistique en route to St Ignace. St Ignace is where the great waters of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan meet. Enjoy a stroll along the Huron Boardwalk.

Day 06 - St Ignace - Mackinac Island - St Ignace

Take a ferry to the timeless resort island of Mackinac - the jewel of the Great Lakes - where cars are prohibited, and bicycles and horse-drawn carriages rule the roads. Visit Fort Mackinac, localed on a bluff overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, and enjoy the view from the porch of the Grand Hotel. Rent a bike and explore over 70 miles of natural and paved trails. Return to St Ignace in the late afternoon.

Day 07 - St Ignace - Traverse City - Detroit (380 miles)

Crossing the Makinac Bridge that connects Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsula over the Straits of Makinac, make your way south through Petoskey, one of the most beautiful regions of the state, to the Cherry Capital of the US - Traverse City. From here it’s on to the "Motor City" Detroit acquired the nickname because of its longstanding recognition as the historic heart of the American motor industry.

Day 08 - Detroit

There's plenty to do in the motor city. At the Ford Piqutte Avenue Park, you can have the opportunity to step back in time and gain a first-hand look at the birthplace of the 1909 Model T Ford. There's also a Riverfront, art galleries, Motown's first recording studio, shopping meccas and dining.

Day 09 - Detroit - Toronto (230 miles)

Today, cross the US/Canadian border into Ontario where your destination is Toronto. Toronto sits at the tip of Lake Ontario, the most eastern of the Great Lakes. Home to a dynamic list of attractions - from museums and galleries to the world -amous CN Tower.

Overnights (2): Toronto - Chelsea Hotel

Day 10 - Toronto

Spend the day exploring Toronto's top attractions. Enjoy spectacular views from the top of the CN Tower. Visit the Royal Ontario Museum, the biggest museum of world cultures and natural history in Canada.

Day 11 - Toronto - Niagara Falls (80 miles)

Just an hour and a half drive from Toronto, one of the seven wonders of the world awaits. Packed with attractions, fine dining and adventure, Travel to the top of the Skylon Tower for the best views and in the evening, view the nightly illumination and season fireworks.

Day 12 - Niagara Falls

Today, spend a full day experiencing the mighty falls themselves. See the American and Horseshoe falls from the side-lines or get up close with a boat ride to the foot of the falls. For a completely different view journey behind the falls to observation decks behind the falls or even take to the air with a helicopter tour above the falls.

Day 13 - Niagara Falls - Cleveland (216 miles)

A culturally diverse city on the shores of Lake Erie, Cleveland has all the attractions. Rock and Roll with legends of music at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum or view some of the many exhibits at the Great Lakes Science Museum,

Overnight (1): Cleveland - Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Cleveland Downtown

Day 14 - Cleveland - Chicago (344 miles)

Leaving Cleveland, you can choose to add a few hours to your day by driving along two Great Lake Shores, stopping at Marblehead Lighthouse along the Lake Erie Coastal Trails and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore on Lake Michigan, or you can drive through miles of cornfield back to Chicago. Upon arrival in Chicago, head to Navy Pier for an evening of dining and entertainment. This is the perfect spot for your last evening overlooking Lake Michigan.

Day 15 - Chicago - UK

Time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before returning your hire car to the airport and checking in for your flight home.
