Itinerary

Day 1 - UK - Salt Lake City
Your holiday to the US and Canadian National Parks begins with a scheduled flight with Delta Airlines to Salt Lake City. Set between the Wasatch Mountains and the Great Salt Lake, Salt Lake City is a vibrant city with an easy-going nature. The story of the Mormon Church is told in various venues in Temple Square. City Creek Center offers dining, entertainment and shopping.
Overnight (1): Salt Lake City

Day 2 - Salt Lake City - Idaho Falls (268 miles)
On the way to Idaho Falls there’s plenty to pique your interest for a full day of sightseeing. Our favorites: This is The Place Heritage Site, Ogden’s Historic 25th Street and Eccles Dinosaur Park and the Golden Spike National Historic Site. Leaving Utah you drive through Idaho’s Snake River Plain and the ranch lands between Pocatello and Idaho Falls.

Day 3 - Idaho Falls - Helena (314 miles)
Today you travel into Montana’s rugged mountains with rich history of Native American culture, mountain men and mining towns. Bannack State Park, a preserved 1880s gold rush ghost town is worth a side trip. In Butte, visit the World Museum of Mining and the Berkeley Pit one of the world’s largest open-pit copper mines. Enjoy the night in Helena, Montana’s picturesque state capital.

Day 4 - Helena - Lethbridge (275 miles)
Follow the Missouri River and the path of the Lewis & Clark. From Great Falls, travel through cultivated landscape to the border crossing from the USA into Canada at Sweet Grass. Lethbridge welcomes you to Canada with a nod toward its frontier past.
Overnight (1): Lethbridge

Day 5 - Lethbridge - Calgary (158 miles)
Feel the past come to life as stories of the ancient buffalo hunt unfold in dance and song when you visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Interpretive CentrDay 4 - Helene. Spend the rest of the day and night enjoying Calgary’s hospitality.

Day 6 - Calgary - Jasper (256 miles)
The Icefields Parkway bears repeating. We recommend driving from Calgary through Banff on your way to Jasper, and then following the same highway back to Banff a few days later. Just before reaching Jasper stop at Athabasca Falls the most powerful in the Canadian Rockies. You have flexibility during the next days of how to spend your
time depending your interests

Day 7 - Jasper 
Jasper activities will fill your day with breathtaking views of mountain peaks and glacial lakes which might include the Maligne Lake Boat Tour and ride on the Jasper Skytram.

Day 8 - Jasper - Banff (179 miles) 
Between Jasper and Banff is the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre where you can book a tour on the Athabasca Glacier or the Glacier Skywalk. Watch for snowy-white mountain goats, elk, moose, deer and bear. Enjoy a stop at Lake Louise before arriving in Banff.

Day 9 - Banff
Banff is Canada’s first National Park. Since the 1880s travelers have come to the mountain retreat for the scenery and hot springs. Enjoy shopping, museums, mountain trails, or float on the Bow River. And you can still soak in the hot springs!

Day 10 - Banff - Fernie (221 miles)
Drive into Kootenay National Park and through Radium Hot Springs. Along the Kootenay and Windermere Highways enjoy the narrow gorges and spectacular viewpoints. Spend the night in the mountain resort of Fernie.

Day 11 - Fernie - Waterton Lakes National Park (106 miles)
Continue to Waterton Lakes National Park and enjoy a full day of nature walks and alpine bliss. Overnight in Waterton

Day 12 - Waterton Lakes NP - Glacier National Park (130 miles
It’s a short drive from Waterton Lakes to the US border. Spend day touring Glacier National Park. Glacier’s Going- To-The-Sun-Highway is usually open to through traffic
between July 1-September 30 each year (subject to weather and snowfall).
Overnight (1): Whitefish 

Day 13  - Glacier NP - Missoula (121 miles)
Take a leisurely morning to explore the area around Glacier and Flathead Lake. Before reaching Missoula for the night, pass by the National Bison Range, where you may see bison, elk, big horn sheep and mountain goats.

Day 14 - Missoula - Yellowstone NP (381 miles)
Today is the longest drive of this trip. You again travel through the mining town of Butte (Day 3). Continue past the Big Sky ski resort area and along the Gallatin River parkway to the Yellowstone National Park area.
Overnights (3): West Yellowstone 

Day 15 & 16 - Yellowstone National Park
You have two full days to explore Yellowstone National Park.

Day 17 - Yellowstone NP - Grand Teton NP (127 miles)
Travel south from Lake Yellowstone’s West Thumb on Highway 191. Enter Grand Teton National Park mid to late morning. Spend time at Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake where the sheer power of the mountains and encounters with wildlife always surprise and enthrall.
Overnights (2): Grand Teton/Jackson Hole 

Day 18 - Grand Teton National Park 
The Tetons and Jackson Hole area offer prime wildlife viewing. Horseback riding and river rafting adventures are available. Need a break from the awesome scenery?
Stroll around the town of Jackson’s old west town square and visit its shops, galleries, bars and restaurants.

Day 19 - Grand Teton NP - Salt Lake City (305 miles)
Drive along Highway 89 through the meandering Snake River Valley to Salt Lake City.

Day 20 - Salt Lake City - UK
Time for last minute sightseeing before dropping your hire car off at the airport and checking in for your flight home.
