Seattle - Lake Quinault (250 miles)
Collect your hire car from downtown and drive to the Olympic Peninsula, a scenic wilderness area extending from glacier-clad mountains to ocean shore. Here you can explore one of the largest and most beautiful rain forests in North America.

Today you will drive around the peninsula to Port Angeles. You will pass by marvellous beaches and a short detour will enable you to visit an ancient Indian village.

A ferry will bring you across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria, a charming city that retains a colonial flavour in architecture and traditions. Visit the Parliament Buildings and enjoy the lively harbour area full of entertainment and shopping or join the afternoon tea crowd at the Empress Hotel which is said to epitomize early Victoria.

A fascinating ferry crossing, which meanders past many islands, brings you to the lovely city of Vancouver.

Vancouver - Kamloops (225 miles)
You will drive through the Cascade Mountains to Kamloops, which was settled at the confluence of two rivers. The town is one of the largest of interior British Columbia.

Today’s route leads over the famous Rogers Pass to Banff National Park.

Banff National Park
Spend today exploring Canada’s oldest National Park. Perhaps visit the emerald green waters of Lake Louise or drive along the spectacular Icefields Parkway to take a 'snocoach' onto the Athabasca Glacier. Alternatively wander along Banff's pleasant streets and, for glorious views of the Rockies take a gondola ride to the top of Bow Mountain.
Day 12
Banff - Waterton National Park (310 miles)
Today you can choose between two routes to get to your destination. You can either follow an historic trail and visit the Bar U Ranch, the Heads-Smashed-In-Buffalo Jump and Fort MacLeod, or go straight to Waterton and enjoy the beauty of that park.

Waterton - Glacier National Park (50 miles)
A short drive will bring you back to the US and to Glacier National Park. Enjoy the parks stunning alpine meadows filled with flowers, more than 200 lakes, a rich wildlife, and hundreds of hiking trails linking areas of beauty.

Glacier National Park - Missoula (110 miles)
On the way to Missoula stop at the Ignatius Mission and learn about early mission days, then drive through the National Bison Range where you can watch Bison, Elk, Bighorn Sheep and Mountain Goats. Missoula is the cultural centre of Montana.
